let me get this straight….
Obama wants to decrease our dependency on foreign oil by encouraging US companies to build more “green” cars, which would, in turn, create more jobs for Americans, and he’s “off his med’s”.
Meanwhile, the guy who wants to drill offshore for oil, risking oil spills near our coasts and preserved lands (a plan that would take 7-10 years for that oil to be produced), and also announced a 300 million dollar governmental prize to the company that can “improve” the existing Lithium ion rechargeable battery, DESPITE the $400 billion dollar deficit, is a sane an rational choice for commander in chief?

Since McCain is the guy who thought of the Incentive plan for a battery car, and McCain is the guy who wants to Drill, Build 45 Nuclear CLEAN AIR PLANTs providing over 700,000 jobs, and not tax Coal or add taxes on the gas.
Obama’s plans are just DUMB! How can he say we will quit buying foreign oil, he won’t allow us to Drill our own oil! We have more oil than the ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST COMBINED HAS!
Obama is HORRIBLE!

Not yet–I like reading the transcripts.
Still, what’s wrong with eliminating dependency on foreign oil? Seems to me that EVERYONE should want that.
Lowering the bar to the point where we trip on it isn’t what this country is about. See where Brazil is with their energy import and you’ll see a country on it’s way to complete energy independence.
It’s doable today as long as we all get our heads outta where the sun don’t shine, I think.

Yeah, I’m watching it right now. The best part was where he tried to align himself with T. Boone Pickens, the guy that says we need to drill east and west coast and drill ANWAR. I agree with T.Boone Pickens, NOT Obama.
